Q: What is Windows 7?

A: Microsoft's current operating system for laptops, desktops, and workstations.  It replaced Windows Vista, which replaced Windows XP.  There are several versions of  Windows 7 available, but 95% of users are well-suited with either Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 Professional.  If you need to join a domain (if you have a SERVER) or you want to access your computer remotely using Remote Desktop Connection, get Windows 7 Professional.  If you are in a small office with just a few environments, or any soft of home environment, Windows 7 Home Premium will be adequate.
