Q: Can I View Word, Excel, or Powerpoint Documents without
Installing Office?
A: Sure! There are several ways to go about
doing this.
- You could install OpenOffice, a free and open source
Office suite that reads and writes Office
documents. I use OpenOffice myself!
- Or, you could install the Word Viewer, Excel Viewer, or Powerpoint Viewer from Microsoft,
which will allow you to view but not edit
those files
- Finally, you can ask the person who created the
document to print it to PDF format, and then use
either FoxIt Reader or Adobe Reader to view
it.
