Q: Can I View Word, Excel, or Powerpoint Documents without Installing Office?  Bookmark and Share

A: Sure!  There are several ways to go about doing this.

  1. You could install OpenOffice, a free and open source Office suite that reads and writes Office documents.  I use OpenOffice myself!
  2. Or, you could install the Word Viewer, Excel Viewer, or Powerpoint Viewer from Microsoft, which will allow you to view but not edit those files
  3. Finally, you can ask the person who created the document to print it to PDF format, and then use either FoxIt Reader or Adobe Reader to view it.
