Q: What is the Best Image Viewer? Bookmark and Share

A:  For viewing images.... Irfanview is free and it is awesome.  It supports every type of image you've ever heard from GIFs to JPGs to BMPs to PNGs and a bunch more you might not know even exist.  It also converts images to other formats and sizes.  Highly recommended!

(Note: The one odd thing about Irfanview is the strange icon it uses for all your image files.  It looks like a squashed cat – obviously the author is a dog lover (or a cat hater anyway.)  Good news though, you can change it.  It's not obvious where to do this, but here is the trick: Launch Irfanview, then go to Options → Properties → Extensions tab → Micellaneous button.  Choose another icon and save your changes.  I like the palm trees!)
